Dr. Erick Fuentes completed FRACS training in General Surgery through the John Hunter Hospital in 2011. In 2012 he completed training in Breast Oncologic Surgery at the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute. Further training in Acute, General and Trauma Surgery was pursued at Liverpool Hospital in 2013. Erick is highly experienced in the most recent therapeutic and diagnostic techniques for breast disease. In particular oncoplastic breast surgery that aims to remove breast cancer while preserving or reconstructing the breast.Â

TOPIC: PAEDIATRIC EMERGENCY
 Presented by Dr. Rajeev Jarugula & Dr. Mike Wong

Dr. Mike Wong studied medicine at the University of Queensland before training in paediatrics at the Royal Children's Hospital in Brisbane. He completed his training with a clinical fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto in paediatric emergency medicine. Mike was awarded his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2018. Mike is interested in all aspects of general paediatrics with special interests in respiratory, urgent care and neonates.

Dr. Rajeev Jarugula completed both his Paediatric training in India before moving to Australia and completing ACEM training in Australia. He brings his expertise of paediatrics and emergency medicine to Prince Charles ED in Brisbane where he works as a Staff Specialist. Prior to Prince Charles he worked at Royal Brisbane hospital for Women. Rajeev is also a director from the WiSE clinic in Robina.

TOPIC: ABDOMINAL PAIN IN PREGNANCY
Presented by Dr. Liz Swinburn & Dr. Charley Zheng

Dr Liz Swinburn has been an emergency specialist for the past 20+ years. She finished her University degree at UNSW and did her training through Sydney’s RPA hospital. Dr swinburn has done some time in retrieval with westpac helicopter service prior to becoming director of Emergency at Mona vale from 1999-2004. After finishing at Mona Vale she became deputy director of emergency at RNSH. Dr Swinburn also continues to be an emergency specialist in Katherine ED in the Northern Territory and at WiSE Macquarie park. Dr swinburn has also been heavily involved in many high level sporting teams including women’s soccer team and the NSW Waratahs rugby team.

Dr. Zheng has had extensive experience as an obstetrician gynaecologist. He has worked tirelessly in subspecialist fields beyond a general obstetrician gynaecologist – that includes further training in advanced laparoscopic surgery and fellowship in fertility medicine. Dr Zheng has been a consultant at Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne.
