Dr Audris Wong believes that all women should take ownership of their own health, be informed and make decisions to improve their health and wellbeing with the support of clinicians who will guide them through their journey. She strongly believes that most gynaecology disorders can be managed by natural therapies, conservatively or medically. Only a small percentage would require surgery. 

She has a wealth of experience in the specialty having trained in large tertiary centers in Ireland and Australia. She completed a fellowship in Urogynaecology, Advanced laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic surgery at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney, Australia in 2017 before relocating to the Gold Coast. 

She can provide a shared private obstetrics care and specialises in all aspects of gynaecology including non- IVF methods of fertility, chronic pelvic pain management, menstrual dysfunction, endometriosis, vulvoscopy, colposcopy etc.

I am a Consultant Urological Surgeon located on the Gold Coast and Brisbane. I underwent specialist urology training in the UK and developed a sub specialist interest in the management of urological cancers including laparoscopic surgery having been trained at the Edinburgh Cancer Centre. I worked as a consultant in Fife in Scotland. Upon retiral from the RAF, I emigrated with my family in 2011 initially to New Zealand before moving to Australia 2017.

I am an expert in the use of laser surgery of the prostate. I am the trainer for Olympus Australia in Laser enucleation of the prostate using the new Soltive Laser. This new pulsed Thulium laser has been shown to be excellent in both prostate and stone surgery. I provide expert care and treatment with enucleation of the prostate.

As part of my search for excellence in the management of prostate disease, I have started using the new iTind device produced by Olympus. I became the first accredited surgeon in Australia in the use of this minimally invasive treatment that has shown excellent results in the management of BPH. 

I am an enthusiastic teacher for both Medical students and Junior doctors and have held positions with multiple universities in the UK, New Zealand and here in Australia. I am committed to the improvement of clinical care to all patients and try to instil an enthusiasm in all I train. I am active in the Royal College of Surgeons and sit on the Rural Surgery Section Committee.
