A/Prof Edward Barin
Cardiologist
A/Prof Barin is a general Cardiologist with clinical and research interests in heart arrhythmias, implanted devices, hypertension, vascular imaging and arterial analysis techniques. Having graduated with honours from the University of Sydney, Dr Barin was a fellow of the National Heart Foundation and undertook postgraduate studies in London. He holds postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Epidemiology from Sydney University and has published in high-impact international journals. Dr Barin is a recipient of the Ralph Reader Investigator’s Prize. Dr Barin Consults from WiSE Macquarie Park Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Dr Arooge Shafi
Rehabilitation Specialist
Dr Arooge Shafi is a senior Rehabilitation Medicine Physician. She has over 10-year experience in age care, orthopaedic, neurological, post-surgical and medical reconditioning rehabilitation. Arooge focuses on complex old age patients with multiple co morbidities and chronic diseases for general rehabilitation.
Dr Arooge Shafi is rehabilitation craft group representative of Medical advisory Committee and a part of morbidity and mortality committees. She has excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills. She is continually involved with the college (RACP/AFRM) fellowship exam setting committee. Arooge keeps up to date with advancements in the field of rehabilitation by regularly attending international conferences and workshops especially in the field of spasticity.
Dr Rami Haddad
Neurologist
Dr Haddad is a neurologist and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of physicians.
Dr Haddad is a staff specialist in neurology and the director of stroke service at Orange Health Service. He is a clinical lecturer in the School of Rural Health, the Faculty of Medicine and Health, the University of Sydney.
Dr Haddad attained his medical degree in 2003.He received his basic physician training at John Hunter Hospital and his neurology training at Royal North Shore Hospital and Monash Medical Centre. He underwent a subspecialty training in Stroke at Gosford Hospital in 2012. Dr Haddad gained international experience in treating various neurological diseases and multiple sclerosis in Sweden where he practiced as a neurologist for several years.Â
